€34,000 raised for cancer research

The Paul Cosyns Stadium came alive during a unique match between the Variétés Club de France and the French National Team of Researchers, bringing together sport, scientific commitment, and solidarity around a vital cause: the fight against cancer.

Playing under the French national colors and driven by a strong spirit of collective mobilization, the match ended in a 5–5 draw, reflecting a perfect balance on the field, but above all a major victory for research, with €34,000 raised for Gustave Roussy.

The UMR 9019 also took part in this meaningful event. On this occasion, Thomas Lejour, PhD student within the unit, participated in the match as a player.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, participants, and everyone involved in making this event such an incredible and inspiring moment.
